Five Things You Didn’t Know about Scott Adkins

It’s not so rare anymore for actors to do their own stunts but a lot of people still employ stunt people since they don’t want to wreck their own bodies in the process.

Stunt work can be extremely dangerous and unpredictable as it’s been seen in the recent past, but Adkins has taken on some of his own stunts by himself and is still standing so it’s obvious that he knows what he’s doing.

3. He got to co-star with his idol JCVD in Expendables 2.

He played the second in command when JCVD played the main bad guy in the film. He was just as ruthless as ever and was one of the toughest villains in the trilogy to be honest.

In many ways he was even tougher than JCVD. His character went up against Jason Statham however and you know how that was going to end. Statham ended up knocking him into a helicopter blade and that was it.

2. He auditioned for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman vs. Superman.

To be honest he has the physique for it and could bring a definite style to Batman’s fighting that a lot of the others haven’t been able to do to the fullest degree.

But his acting skills still need a little work and as far as his characters go he’s always been an angry person who’s capable of calling upon a massive amount of rage.

Other than that he hasn’t shown a lot of character development yet, but he’s getting better.

1. He’s been into martial arts since he was ten years old.Â

His interest in martial arts has been building since the age of ten and hasn’t stopped.

He tried to go to school for acting at one point but was kind of bummed out when he couldn’t afford to pay for it.

Thankfully someone saw what he could do and offered him a role and from that point on he was off to the races.

He’s awesome to watch, I’d recommend just about anything he does for his fight scenes alone.
