Justice League: Zack Snyder Reveals Bruce Wayne-Centric Opening Scene With New Image
As the HBO Max run for the DC Extended Universe’s Wonder Woman 1984 comes to a close, the anticipation builds for the upcoming debut of the Snyder Cut of Justice League. The hype for this project is currently at a new peak thanks to news revealing that it will make its debut on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
Now that there is official confirmation for when to expect the Snyder Cut, it’s time to go back to attempting to predict what details will be changed in the new cut. Director Zack Snyder is on a mission to tell the story of the Justice League the way he planned it so many years ago, and he also appears hellbent to remove any trace of former director Joss Whedon’s memory with the film in the process.
During the promotional tour for this movie, Snyder has regularly released small teases for what fans should expect to see in March. His latest social media blast brings another one of these teases...
SNYDER TEASES THE START OF JUSTICE LEAGUE
In a new post on his Vero account, director Zack Snyder shared a look from the editing studio of a shot from the opening credits of the Snyder Cut of Justice League. The shot shows a large frozen tundra from on-location shooting in Iceland.
He also gives praise to his cinematographer, Fabian Wagner, with his credit in the picture.
In the comments section of the post, Snyder confirms that this scene involves Bruce Wayne finding Arthur Curry.
FROZEN MEETS THE DCEU?
While this shot may be more of a tease of what a live-action version of Disney’s Frozen might look like, this should be an interesting introduction to the Snyder Cut.
With this movie set to be just about double the length of the original 2017 cut, it makes sense that some important scenes will take up more screen time. The first meeting between two core members of the Justice League clearly fits that criteria, and it will be interesting to see the depth added to the scene with this shot.
There are still very few specific details concerning what plot points will change in the Snyder Cut, but more than a handful of images are teasing a revitalized DCEU team-up movie. With how open Snyder has been since the movie was green-lit, the expectation is that more of these looks will come over the next few weeks.
The Snyder Cut of Justice League will officially debut on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
