Star Wars: Boba Fett Spinoff Rumored To Include Familiar Bounty Hunters

The world of The Mandalorian is expanding on Disney+, and a prime example of this is the upcoming arrival of The Book of Boba Fett. The series will see the return of Temeura Morrison as the iconic bounty hunter, and joining him is Ming Na-Wen's Fennec Shand.

Little is known about the plot of The Book of Boba Fett, but it was revealed at the tail-end of The Mandalorian Season 2 finale that it will be set in Tatooine. It was also confirmed during the post-credits stinger that the dangerous duo will take over the remnants of Jabba The Hut's operations on the planet, potentially hinting that they will start their own criminal organization in the post-Return of the Jedi timeline.

Now, new details have emerged about the much-anticipated spinoff, and it could ultimately serve as a game-changer for Boba Fett's upcoming adventure.

MORE BOUNTY HUNTERS IN BOBA FETT SPINOFF

LRM Online shared in a report that The Book of Boba Fett will feature “some fan-favorite Bounty Hunters.” Beyond that, details about which bounty hunters will appear weren't outlined.

A POTENTIAL CAD BANE APPEARANCE?

On the surface, it makes narrative sense for The Book of Boba Fett to showcase several bounty hunters, but the report mentioning the term “fan-favorite” means that characters viewers already know will make their much-awaited return (or debut) in live-action.

Cad Bane is the clear front-runner to arrive in The Book of Boba Fett, considering the character's connection to the titular bounty hunter. It was made clear during Star Wars: The Clone Wars that Cad Bane was the one responsible for the dent in Boba Fett's helmet. By connecting the dots, it's reasonable to assume that Fett will likely pursue Cad Bane for that “unfinished business,” leading to an eventual confrontation between the two characters.

Other bounty hunters that could make an appearance in The Book of Boba Fett are ones that were included in The Empire Strikes Back, such as Bossk and Dengar. Boba Fett could seek out the aforementioned characters for assistance, making them allies for the character's quest to gain control of Tatooine.

Not much is known if the bounty hunters that will be included in The Book of Boba Fett could serve as enemies or allies to Boba Fett and Fennec Shand. However, it's safe to say that it could go either way since everything comes at a price.

Whatever the case, the possibilities are endless, and it will be exciting to find out which characters will pop up to expand the narrative of The Book of Boba Fett later this year.
