WandaVision Reveals Actual Identities of Westview Citizens (But Not Kathryn Hahn's Agnes)

Scarlet Witch, SWORD identity

Clips from the upcoming episode of WandaVision have been pouring out from Marvel Studios, showing off far more than fans expected. In fact, a new TV spot gave fans a taste of the action and excitement to come for the series.

The biggest peek yet has been the latest special preview of the next episode, which looks to focus exclusively on S.W.O.R.D. and what they were doing outside the static bubble up to the point Monica Rambeau was thrown out. This one preview showed so much, but one prop in particular stuck out that needed a closer look.

WESTVIEW MISSING PERSONS

The most interesting tidbit from the extended clip from "Episode 4" of WandaVision is a board covered in photos focused on Wanda, Vision, and the rest of the inhabitants of their sitcom reality.

Under each of the photos are driver's licenses for New Jersey, pointing to them being real people. There's even a map in the lower left-hand corner that reads “Westview, New Jersey” and “Edge of Town — Topography.”

Combined, both these pieces of evidence confirm that Wanda engulfed this static bubble around an entire town, trapping its residents, who S.W.O.R.D. was able to identify and match using existing pieces of ID.

The only person the agency failed to identify is Kathryn Hahn's Agnes, which points to her being an outsider and not an original citizen of Westview. It could also be that Agnes may not be real at all, created by Wanda, or someone there to manipulate Wanda.

WHERE IS DOTTIE?

It's odd that while S.W.O.R.D. put up a photo of Jolene Purdy's Beverly, they didn't put one up for Emma Caulfield Ford's Dottie, who would seem to be more important to identify as she has a position of authority in Wanda's reality. It could be that, just like Agnes, Darcy and other S.W.O.R.D. agents were unable to identify her, and Dottie could be in Westview for her own reasons. However, Dottie's reaction to Wanda in the second episode points to her being just as out of the loop as everyone else.

A simpler possibility is that the preview only showed audiences this board before all the photos were put up since there is a big space in the lower-right that seems to be reserved for two additional profiles, one of them likely being for Dottie.

WANDA IN CONTROL?

Fans have been able to transcribe the handwriting on the profiles, specifically the descriptions for Norm and Mr. Hart. Looking closer, Norm's real name is Abilash Tandon, with multiple notes on his profile that point to Wanda not exactly being a victim.

One line questions “Is Wanda controlling a whole town?” and also states that the “safety of residents is now in question,” which could be due to the man known as Mr. Hart disappearing completely after the first episode despite his “wife” appearing alone, in Episde 2: “Don't Turn That Dial.” Considering how Wanda dealt with Monica at the end of the last episode, it seems more than likely that Wanda is fully aware of what she's doing yet doesn't care.
