Superman & Lois Gets 2 Extra Episodes As The CW Renews Batwoman, The Flash & More

The new Arrowverse season is now in full swing, starting off with Javicia Leslie's debut in Batwoman. 2021 is set to be a big year for The CW's slate of superhero shows due to the arrival of Superman & Lois into the mix.  

Despite that, other fan-favorite series will soon end by the time the year wraps up. Supergirl has been confirmed to end its impressive run after six seasons while Black Lightning will bid its farewell after a short four-season run on the network. Still, there is a lot to look forward to as various storylines get resolved as well as the looming introduction of several characters into the fray. 

Now, a new report has emerged that confirms a piece of good news for Arrowverse fans everywhere.

Variety shared in a report that The CW has decided to add “two additional episodes” for the debut season of Superman & Lois, bringing the episode count of the show to 15 instead of the originally planned thirteen-episode slate. 

Meanwhile, other Arrowverse shows also received early-season renewals. Batwoman has been renewed for a third season while The Flash will return for Season 8. In addition, DC's Legends of Tomorrow was also renewed for a seventh season.
