Zack Snyder's Justice League Will Conclude With Massive Cliffhanger

Darkseid, Justice League Snyder Cut

HBO Max is less than three weeks away from debuting the long-awaited Zack Snyder's Justice League, which has been in and out of the works seemingly for most of the last half-decade. Now that the release date is imminent, director Zack Snyder is taking the promotional train to new levels of intensity.

Within the past few days, news has come teasing the action in this film, as has been the case for most of the past year since this project got the green light in Spring 2020. Many fans are still discussing the events of the newest full trailer that released on Valentine's Day, which gave the first footage of Jared Leto as he brings the Joker back to the franchise.

While many pundits have wondered how this movie will connect to Snyder's past work in the DC Extended Universe, news has just come on what to expect for the ending.

THE SNYDER CUT WILL LEAVE THINGS ON A CLIFFHANGER

In a new release from IGN, Justice League director Zack Snyder teased more information on what to expect in Zack Snyder's Justice League when it releases on HBO Max on March 18, 2021. Snyder confirmed that the cut "ends in a massive cliffhanger" as he "plant(s) the seeds as (he) had wanted to of what would come in the later films.":

“It hints, as you would, at a potential other world. I'd plant the seeds as I had wanted to of what would come in the later films,” Snyder said. “That's in there, but as far as those stories that would be to come -- if ever that happened, which it does not look like it would -- but I think it's easy to speculate based on that and we can talk about that for quite a while.”

“It is a cliffhanger … The movie ends in a massive cliffhanger, yeah.”
