MORE SCRAPPED SNYDER PLANS REVEALED
In Zack Snyder's Justice League, Director Ryan Choi found himself working with Victor Silas analyzing the Motherboxes. After the Motherbox was taken and Stone dying as a result, Choi contemplates what could have happened to the artifact after Silas tried using it to bring his son, Victor, back to life.
In DC Comics, Atom's powers are quite similar to those of Ant-Man from the Marvel universe, with the ability to change his size and manipulate his weight and mass to his advantage. Longtime DC actor Brandon Routh portrayed the Ray Palmer version of Atom in the CW's long-running Arrowverse, but the character hasn't been utilized in a major live-action movie before.
Snyder seemed to have big plans for this often tiny hero, even mentioning that he wanted to bring him to life in a full-fledged superhero journey set in China. This seems to be yet another one of DC's plans that has simply fallen by the wayside over the past few years, but it certainly teases some exciting possibilities should the team decide to revisit Ryan Choi's Atom again.
For now, Zheng Kai can be seen as Ryan Choi in Zack Snyder's Justice League, which is now available to stream on HBO Max.
