Zack Snyder Reveals Adam Driver Was Considered For DC Role
Zack Snyder's Justice League experienced a complicated journey over the years, but all hardships were erased when the film debuted on HBO Max. So far, the four-hour-long version of the superhero team-up is currently beating other DCEU entries like Aquaman and Man of Steel in terms of audience score, suggesting that viewers are satisfied with this improved cut.
In many ways, this development should be a good turning point for those fans who want to restore the Snyderverse. This topic became a major point of discussion on social media considering the hype surrounding the famed Snyder Cut, and it will be interesting how Warner Bros. and HBO Max will respond.
Given that Snyder is the one who started it all, it seems fitting that the director will be given the chance to end this chapter of the franchise on his own terms. While fans debate on whether this will be the appropriate next step or not, a new tidbit about Snyder's previous plan for the DCEU has emerged.
ADAM DRIVER'S DCEU INVOLVEMENT
Zack Snyder recently spoke with MTV News to promote the premiere of Justice League on HBO Max, and one of the topics that was discussed was past rumors about Adam Driver's involvement as Nightwing in the DCEU.
When asked if the Star Wars actor was ever in talks about joining the franchise as Dick Grayson, Snyder revealed that he did “talk” to Adam about a role, but the director pointed out that it wasn't for Nightwing.
Back in 2014, The Hollywood Reporter shared that Driver was approached for the role of Lex Luthor, but there was a "conflict." It's reasonable to assume that the actor was gearing up to play Kylo Ren of the Skywalker Saga during that time.

MULTIVERSE POTENTIAL FOR ADAM DRIVER?
From casting the characters all the way to interesting story beats, the DCEU has had its fair share of ups and downs over the years. This new reveal from Snyder should add another layer of intrigue about the director's plan considering the mixed reaction towards Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Luthor.
In an alternate world, Adam Driver could've been featured as the ultimate nemesis of Superman, and it would have been interesting to find out how the actor's performance would fare against Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck's DC heroes.
Back then, it was no secret that Snyder wanted a different direction for Lex Luthor. Of course, Driver and Eisenberg are two entirely different actors, and there's no telling if the former's portrayal would have lead to an overwhelmingly positive reception.
On the flip side, the Nightwing character could've been a great choice for Driver to play in the DCEU, but it was established in the franchise's canon that Dick Grayson is already dead.
All in all, given the DCEU is expanding due to the multiverse, it's possible that Driver will be given the chance to join the franchise down the line.
