Zack Snyder's Justice League: All 6 Chapter Names Revealed
HBO Max is just over two weeks away from housing the debut of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which has been in the works in some form or another for most of the last three years. As director Zack Snyder works to complete this massive production, he has proven to be adamant about sharing his true vision for what this movie was supposed to be.
Recently, the Snyder Cut was confirmed to be just over four hours long in total — almost doubling the screen time of its failed predecessor. With such a long runtime, Snyder’s wife Deborah confirmed that the film will be broken up into “chapters” to make for an easier viewing experience when it begins streaming.
Now, more news has arrived confirming that strategy...
CHAPTER NAMES FOR THE SNYDER CUT
The official @snydercut Twitter page revealed the titles of all six chapters in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. They read as follows:
Part 1: "Don't Count On It, Batman"
Part 2: The Age of Heroes
Part 3: Beloved Mother
Part 4: "Change Machine"
Part 5: All the King's Men
Part 6: "Something Darker"
All six of the chapter title cards can be viewed below:
SNYDER CONTINUING HIS VAGUE WAYS
As is sometimes the case with Snyder’s work, these titles are mostly pretty vague and don’t give away much of what’s coming in the Snyder Cut. However, there are a couple overarching plot details that can be deciphered.
The first chapter is clearly focused on Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight, which Snyder had confirmed in another interview last week. Batman is one of the team’s core members both in the comics and within Zack Snyder’s DCEU, and it will be interesting to find out how his individual story differs in this cut from his 2017 role in the theatrical cut.
Chapter 2 could potentially be the first signs of the team coming together as they figure out how to revive Superman. On the other side, it looks like the next entry will focus on the slightly mother-obsessed Steppenwolf as he kicks off his quest for the returning Motherboxes.
The latter half of the movie is a little more difficult to figure out, but that could mean these chapters mostly hold material that didn’t make it into director Joss Whedon’s 2017 version of the movie. Whatever the case, it will be quite the journey working through these chapter titles and what each of them holds for the overarching story.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will debut on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
