Black Widow Trailer Offers New Footage of Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh & More
Black Widow was originally supposed to kick off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe last year, but the pandemic derailed that plan. Instead, Elizabeth Olsen's WandaVision became the lead-off hitter for Marvel's post-Infinity Saga era, thus making the wait for the Scarlett Johansson-led project a little while longer.
Over the past year, the discussion around Black Widow mainly focused on its final release date, which isn't surprising due to the fact that the film was delayed three times. As it stands, the prequel is set to premiere on Disney+ Premiere Acess and in theaters on July 9, 2021 (hopefully), making the swan song of Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff the first feature film of the MCU's Phase 4.
The delays of Black Widow also affected the film's marketing, but Disney earlier promised that they will “introduce original materials” once promotion restarts. Now, it looks like the House of Mouse fulfilled that pledge with the arrival of a new trailer.
