Disney+ Iron Man Spinoff, Ironheart, To Have Less Episodes Than WandaVision
Marvel Studios may be taking a break for a few weeks in terms of in-universe content, there is no slowing down for multiple production teams as Phase 4 expands. Almost all of the entries for 2021 are either completely finished or nearing completion while multiple entries releasing in 2022 still have plenty of work left to do.
Currently, the news stream for the MCU is filled with a wide variety of excitement from all across the franchise. Most recently, this includes the announcement for a fourth Captain America movie alongside Emilia Clarke’s casting in Secret Invasion on Disney+.
More Disney+ news just arrived as well, giving an update on when another highly-anticipated show will kick into gear.
TIMETABLE FOR IRONHEART
Aaron Couch of The Hollywood Reporter has revealed via Twitter that Marvel Studios’ Ironheart is set to be six episodes long when it premieres on Disney+. This is less than the nine episodes of WandaVision's first season yet on-par with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki's episode counts.
Couch also shared that the series' writer's room will begin forming next month.
This comes in response to the recent report that the Iron Man spin-off series has found a lead writer.
Correction: The writer's room opens in May for the six-episode series. (Deleted the below tweet). https://t.co/VPiW9cEsgz pic.twitter.com/e8BUoshaLC
