I LOVE YOU 3000

Robert Downey, Jr.'s time playing Iron Man in the MCU may likely have come to an end after Endgame, but it's undeniable that he still holds his time with the franchise as a cherished memory.

The scene he posted on social media was originally meant to serve as a mirror image to Thanos' Soul World moment in Avengers: Infinity War. In this scene, he briefly talked to a younger version of his daughter, Gamora, after snapping with the Infinity Gauntlet, wiping out half of all life in the universe.

While directors Joe and Anthony Russo decided to cut this scene for pacing purposes, it's still talked about as one of the most impactful deleted scenes in MCU history. Katherine Langford's grown-up Morgan Stark helped her father accept that he made the right decision to sacrifice himself, and it helped give the billionaire some much-needed closure as he took Thanos and his army down.

The penultimate movie of the Infinity Saga still finds a way to bring exciting news two years after its debut. Even with Phase 4's blockbuster films returning to theaters in just over two months, it will likely be a long time before Marvel Studios brings a film with the same magnitude as the fourth team-up for Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Avengers: Endgame is available to stream on Disney+.
