Black Adam: Dwayne Johnson Reveals Best Look Yet at Himself In Costume as DC Villain
Warner Bros. will be adding four new movies into the DC Extended Universe in 2022, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s long-awaited Black Adam solo movie. While it’s unclear if this movie will connect directly into the Shazam! franchise yet, the classic anti-hero is set to come into play with a bang behind arguably the biggest movie star in the business today.
Filming started just a few weeks ago on this expansive film, although plot details are still mostly unknown outside of a few impressive set pieces. Even with this news, one of the biggest pieces of this movie that fans are waiting for is to see exactly how impressive Johnson looks when he's fully suited up as Black Adam.
While that hasn't come yet, Johnson did give fans the smallest of teases on social media.
THE ROCK TEASES BLACK ADAM
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to Instagram to share an image of himself in a hooded robe from the set of Black Adam.
Johnson is standing under the light in a full robe, which covers everything but the boots of his Black Adam costume.
The boots can be seen in a better light in the second image, which also teases an intense look on Johnson's face.
Johnson's post included the following caption:
"If you know the comic book mythology, then you know where his pain comes from.
His rage.
His wife and children killed.
His people brutally enslaved. He is not a superhero, but rather a champion.Of the poor and beaten down.Of the people. And he is the most unstoppable force in the DC UNIVERSE.
* wanted to give you guys a little Black Adam update and share this image with you from set. Production is coming along GREAT and I’m very pleased with the movie we’re making. Black Adam’s mythology, ethics and actions no doubt will create a new paradigm in the world of superheroes, villains & antiheroes.
The power will shift.
The line will blur.
From a slave to a God.~ the man in black️"
Black Adam has donned a cloaked attire in more recent comic storylines, specifically in DC's New 52 era.
