The Batman: New Look at Robert Pattinson's Superhero Revealed By Leaked Merch
Warner Bros. is just a few months away from bringing their lone movie of 2021 with James Gunn's The Suicide Squad before the DCEU explodes with four new movies in 2022. The first of those movies will be the Matt Reeves-directed The Batman, kick-starting Robert Pattinson's superhero career as a new version of the Caped Crusader.
While it's still unclear who will actually be the main Bruce Wayne in the franchise with three simultaneously running, The Batman will come as the first solo movie for the iconic hero in an alternate Earth parallel to the rest of the DCEU. After the first trailer for the film dropped at DC FanDome last August, fans are already anxious to see more of this newly suited-up hero in his early run as Gotham City's protector.
As for the actual suit that Bruce Wayne will don in this movie, fans got a new look at it in the most recent leak surrounding the movie.
THE BATSUIT IN ALL ITS GLORY
A new leak on Reddit showed off an image of Robert Pattinson fully decked out in the Batman costume alongside the Batmobile from 2022's The Batman.
This image, which comes from Hot Wheels merchandise for the movie's Batmobile, highlights both the armor on his arms and the updated Bat symbol on the chest. Also pictured in the background is a distinguished cable-stayed bridge leading to Gotham.

MORE HYPE FOR THE DCEU'S DARK KNIGHT
This image may not bring anything particularly new that fans haven't seen before, but it's still an excellent look at the franchise's second Batman alongside Ben Affleck. Robert Pattinson looks ready to go under the cowl, with the suit and the Batmoblie all geared up for action in the DCEU's 11th feature film.
Not having seen any new footage since the DC FanDome trailer, the hype is slowly building to see more of what this story will bring in the DCEU's new version of Gotham City. This is particularly applicable since only about a quarter of the footage for the movie had been shot by the time the first trailer released to the public.
With multiple major villains set to go against Bruce Wayne in this movie, including Colin Farrell's Penguin, this will likely be the most intense test of the young hero's career as he works his way through the arguably most crime-ridden city in comics lore. Fans are also looking forward to seeing how Bruce Wayne makes this new version of the suit before he goes fully into hero mode and lays the smackdown on goons galore.
The Batman will release in theaters on March 4, 2022.
