The Suicide Squad: New Art Shows Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Sylvester Stallone's King Shark, More
This summer will bring one of the DC Extended Universe's most anticipated releases with director James Gunn leading the way on The Suicide Squad. The sequel/reboot is set to bring new life to the franchise's classic team of anti-heroes with characters from 2016's Suicide Squad making a return alongside more than a dozen newcomers.
The specific plot of this movie is still unclear, although fans are looking forward to seeing what characters like Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and John Cena's Peacemaker can do with the freedom of an R-rating from the MPAA. The story will have no lack of gratuitous violence, Gunn has teased an intense death toll, and the team is even set to eventually do battle with a giant mutant starfish.
The promotional tour for this movie has been going strong the last few weeks, with the latest release bringing more than a handful of art pieces centered around Gunn's first DCEU outing.

COMICS AND MOVIES COMING TOGETHER
While these images don't seem to match up much with the actual stories under the covers, they do an excellent job of highlighting the extensive core cast of the DCEU's upcoming summer blockbuster.
Bloodsport, Harley Quinn, King Shark, and others make multiple appearances on these covers, although nearly every member of the squad gets their time in the spotlight. These collectible covers should be quite the buy for comic enthusiasts as the DCEU fandom prepares for the movie's upcoming debut.
The covers will begin releasing in early August, continuing with new titles every week of the month. This will likely come alongside promotional material for James Gunn's movie as the cast and crew continue to give interviews and release new footage, delivering a wild story from one of the biggest names in comic book movies.
The Suicide Squad will debut in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6, 2021.
