Loki: New Photos Show Tom Hiddleston & Sophia Di Martino Smiling Together On Set

Loki is nearing a fever pitch.

The Tom Hiddleston-led series burst onto the scene with an impressive premiere and has ridden that momentum in subsequent weeks. The second episode left fans with the shock reveal that the show's antagonist, a Loki Variant, was a female iteration of the God of Mischief.

Marvel Studios kept Sophia Di Martino's character heavily under wraps until she popped up on the screen. Now that she's here, Sylvie has been on promotional material aplenty.

Now that half of the season has aired, Loki personnel are beginning to share behind-the-scenes images from the show's set.

TWO TRICKSTERS AND A DIRECTOR

Stunt coordinator Monique Ganderton posted a photograph showcasing Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino as well as their respective stunt doubles. The picture is taken from the Lamentis-1 set and can be seen below:

Another behind-the-scenes image from Di Martino's Instagram Story pits Hiddleston and herself both in costume, alongside Loki director Kate Herron:

Set photographer Chuck Zlotnick also shared an image from Loki, this time (literally) spotlighting the God of Mischief in his Time Variance Authority jumpsuit:

HALFWAY CELEBRATION FOR LOKI ON DISNEY+

With Loki reaching its mid-season checkpoint this past Wednesday, cast and crew are unearthing images that the show has likely kept out of the public eye for over a year.

Ganderton's Lamentis shot emphasizes the amount of elbow grease that went into the show's third episode. She gave props to both the stars and their stunt doubles in the caption, mentioning that they "trained their butts off everyday."

It remains to be seen how much time will be spent on the inhabitable moon next Wednesday, but it's clear that Marvel Studios poured sizable resources into bringing Lamentis to life.

Aside from Sophia Di Martino's trio post being an endearing shot of the show's leads with their director, it's evident that the actress has been chomping at the bit to showcase stills from Loki. Her involvement in the series was confirmed for well over a year, but her character was absent from all promotional material leading up to the premiere. With the surprise now public, Di Martino has been showcasing her Marvel debut across all her social media platforms.

The final image of a spotlit Loki is poster material galore. Similar to the thorn crown Joker images, this still is a fun image and not actually captured from a scene within the series.

Loki returns Wednesday, June 30, 2021, streaming exclusively on Disney+.
