Star Wars: The Clone Wars Character Duo Makes Unexpected Appearance In The Bad Batch

Warning - This article contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 6.

Lucasfilm Animation's new series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the sequel series of The Clone Warskicked off on May the 4th with Clone Force 99's perspective of Order 66 and the loss of Crosshair to the controlling inhibitor chip.

And in the subsequent episodes, the remaining members of the squad, along with new member Omega, have struggled to find their way in the galaxy recently accepting mercenary jobs.

But in the show's sixth episode, Clone Force 99 accept a mission that brings them face to face with a few familiar faces from that galaxy far, far away.

THE BAD BATCH'S TWO CLONE WARS CAMEOS

In the latest episode titled "Decommissioned," Clone Force 99 accept a mission to Han Solo's home planet of Corellia to retrieve a tactical droid head for their new, somewhat suspicious, employer Cid.

Tactical droids are highly intelligent and can be used to locate individuals. In fact, Ahsoka Tano gave a tactical droid head to Ezra Bridger in Star Wars Rebels in order to track down Captain Rex.

But again, Clone Force 99 weren't the only ones looking for the head.

Trace and Rafa Martez, the two sisters from Level 1313 of Coruscant who Ahsoka Tano worked with in the final season of The Clone Wars, were surprisingly also hunting for the head.

The clones and the Martez sisters are forced to work together to escape Corellia with the duo claiming to need the head to fight against the Empire.

WHOSE SIDE ARE THE MARTEZ SISTERS ON?

Despite the Martez sisters' seemingly noble motives, the end of the episode shows Rafa contacting a mysterious "him" to share what she knows about Clone Force 99. Just who this employer is, and which side he belongs to, is yet to be seen.

Audiences already know that the Kaminoans need one of the clones and that bounty hunter Fennec Shand is after Omega. It's possible this individual has similar motives.

In addition, the presence of the sisters was a cameo few fans saw coming. But their appearance, coupled with the droid head, seems to point towards a cameo from Ahsoka Tano and maybe Captain Rex.

Needless to say, The Bad Batch's story, and its cameos, appear to be ramping up as the series heads deeper into its inaugural season.
