Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Location Connects To New Episode of The Bad Batch
Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Lucasfilm's latest series and The Clone Wars spin-off, has offered audiences a view of Order 66 and the changing galaxy from the perspective of experimental Clone Force 99.
To date, the series has centered on the relationship between the clones and their new member Omega. But the show has also found ways to connect to other Star Wars series like The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, as well as films like The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi.
And now, in the latest episode titled "Battle Scars," The Bad Batch has found a way to connect to a popular Star Wars game.
THE BAD BATCH VISITS PLANET FROM JEDI: FALLEN ORDER
In "Battle Scars," Captain Rex tracks down Clone Force 99 only to find that they haven't removed their inhibitor chips.
They later meet him on the planet Bracca — a junkyard world first seen in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game.
Bracca is where decommissioned ships were taken to be salvaged by the Scrapper Guild who then sold the materials to the Empire. And Rex decides to use a wrecked Republic ship's medical facility to remove the squad's chips.
However, the presence of this planet may not just be a simple nod to the game. It might actually be something more.
WILL CAL KESTIS CAMEO IN THE BAD BATCH?
Padawan Cal Kestis from the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game and his master were stationed over Bracca during the Clone Wars. Kestis managed to survive Order 66, and according to the Star Wars timeline, he would still be on the planet during the events of this episode.
Following the game's release and its positive reception, fans and players have hoped for the possibility of a Cal Kestis cameo in a Star Wars film or series.
The events of this past Bad Batch episode have finally set the stage for such an opportunity, especially since Clone Force 99 hasn't yet left the planet.
Will audiences see a young Cal come to the aid of Clone Force 99 in Episode 8? Again, it's more likely than ever.
But if not, The Bad Batch drawing connections to the game could lay the groundwork for more connected storytelling between the two properties in the future.
