Black Widow: New Deleted Scene Images Leak Online Ahead of Digital Release

Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson

Marvel Studios is busy enjoying its biggest year of content releases to date, thanks to the addition of Disney+ alongside the franchise's usual round of blockbuster theatrical debuts. While fans right now are gearing up for the team's first animated outing in What If...?, the hype is still present for Phase 4's first movie as well in Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.

Dealing with a dual theatrical/streaming release hasn't been easy for Marvel, although Black Widow has seen its wins as one of the most successful films of the pandemic era. It seems abundantly clear that the MCU's reputation helped fans' excitement remain high for Phase 4's theatrical return, which will hopefully continue with three more movies arriving this year.

Just about a month after its debut, Black Widow is set to arrive in fans' homes via digital release, which will include extra behind-the-scenes looks into the movie's production along with deleted scenes that missed the final cut. A few hours ahead of that drop, images of the deleted scenes have found their way online via leaks.

DELETED SCENES FROM BLACK WIDOW

Via Twitter user wandasolsen, images from the nine deleted scenes from Marvel Studios' Black Widow leaked online less than a day before the film's home release.

Most of the images showcased Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff in various outfits from scenes that premiered early in the movie, as well as from the final scene leading into Avengers: Infinity War with her short blonde haircut:

Additional pictures show Johansson in both her White and Black Widow outfits as she shoots alongside castmates Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, and David Harbour. She is seen in the water after her first fight with Taskmaster, during her Budapest chat with Yelena, and after the final fight of the film following the Red Room crashing down to Earth:

NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR EVERYTHING

Descriptions for nine deleted scenes from Black Widow made their way online a couple of weeks ago, giving insight into some of the footage that was left on the cutting room floor for this new MCU outing.

With scenes featuring events like Yelena and Natasha's training, more of Nat's journey to Norway, and additional action with William Hurt's Thunderbolt Ross, Marvel Studios had a fair share of extra material to give more details to what ended up on screen. Considering how many deleted scenes are in every MCU home release, this only makes sense to ensure each movie doesn't drag on too much.

These new scenes will only be the start of extra material that will come on Black Widow's home release, which marks the likely end of Natasha Romanoff's 11-year MCU journey. Along with the Marvel Studios Assembled episode for the movie streaming on Disney+, the digital release will certainly be a must-buy for MCU diehards to see all the hard work that went into Phase 4's debut theatrical outing.

Black Widow will be available for digital home release on August 10, 2021. It will make its physical copy arrival on September 14, and will be available to watch at no additional cost on Disney+ on October 6, 2021.
