Marvel's Avengers Reveals New Black Panther Suit Inspired By Chadwick Boseman's MCU Costume

Black Panther, MCU, Marvel's Avengers

Marvel Studios is currently hard at work developing numerous sequels for release in the next couple of years, including Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This highly-anticipated outing will expand on the legacy of the MCU’s Wakanda while also paying tribute to the franchise’s real-life fallen hero: Chadwick Boseman.

The late star passed away just over a year ago after a long battle with colon cancer, but his impact was felt in a profound way during his time with Marvel Studios. Taking on the leading role of T’Challa in Black Panther and making appearances in three other team-up outings, Boseman brought the hero to life on the big screen for the first time and left his mark on superhero movies.

In honor of him and the character, the video game developer Crystal Dynamics found a way to honor his memory and give fans a memorable experience in their Marvel-centric game.

WAKANDA FOREVER

Crystal Dynamics, through the official Marvel's Avengers Twitter account, announced a new cosmetic skin for Black Panther inspired by the MCU.

This gives fans the opportunity to play as T'Challa in his Wakandan outfit that was used in the MCU's movies, including 2018's Black Panther.

The developer also shared a 24-second-long in-game video of how the suit will look in action:

A NEW MCU AVENGERS UPGRADE

Marvel's Avengers has been diligently adding new skins to its gameplay to help give gamers that MCU feel within the game's alternate storyline. Avengers: Endgame-inspired outfits were included for everybody from Professor Hulk to Captain America, and Crystal Dynamics celebrated the theatrical release of Black Widow by adding Natasha Romanoff's all-white suit from the movie.

With the War for Wakanda expansion gaining popularity as more players tackle the African addition, it seems appropriate that this version of the hero is getting to use his MCU vibranium outfit in the story. The helmet and claws are an exact replica of what fans have seen for five years on the big screen in the MCU, and it should be a fun experience for gamers to use this suit through the gameplay.

Marvel's Avengers continues to take inspiration from the MCU to help build its name back up after a rough debut, and it seems likely that the trend will continue as more suits and skins are developed behind the scenes.
