Shang-Chi: New Scene Will Make You Excited For the MCU's Martial Arts Action
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is set to introduce Simu Liu's Master of Kung Fu into the confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The upcoming MCU film is Marvel Studios' first foray into the realm of martial arts, and it will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Shang-Chi will explore the origins of the titular hero and his troubled relationship with his villainous father who is Tony Leung's Wenwu a.k.a. the Mandarin.
Throughout the film's promotional campaign, one of the selling points of Shang-Chi is its action sequences. The different trailers and promos of the MCU movie heavily highlighted the fact that it will showcase some, if not, the best action scenes in the superhero franchise, and this was further corroborated by early reviews from the press.
Liu even promised in a previous interview that Shang-Chi is going to showcase action sequences “in a way that MCU fans, or any fans, have never seen before.” This is on top of the reported involvement of Jackie Chan stunt team member Andy Cheng in the film's crew, thus boosting the idea that Shang-Chi will deliver in the action department.
Now, ahead of the film's exclusive theatrical release, a new clip has emerged to give fans a taste of some of the action.
