Spider-Man 3: No Way Home Star Marisa Tomei Reacts to Trailer & Fan Support

Marisa Tomei Spider-Man: No Way Home Aunt May

Marvel Studios is riding an absolute high at the moment thanks to the long-awaited first trailer for December's Spider-Man: No Way Home. The initial look at the amped-up threequel has already set the record for most-viewed trailer of all-time by a wide margin, and Marvel is looking to push the promotional tour to new heights with the hype that's already been built.

While the fan excitement is clearly taking over discussions on social media, some of Marvel's most prominent personalities have also shared their own reactions to the trailer's online success. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo praised leading actor Tom Holland for "bringing it home," while Holland himself expressed pure disbelief at just how crazy the film is going to be.

To add to the growing anticipation for No Way Home, another star from the movie has shared her gratitude for the reactions to the first trailer.

Spider-Man: No Way Home star Marisa Tomei took to Instagram to share a short video thanking the fans for their support towards the movie's first trailer. Specifically showing appreciation for "the May fans," the Aunt May actress expressed her excitement for fans to see the film in "just a few more months:"

"Hi friends! Thanks for all the love for Spidey, for the trailer, for May. Thanks for the May fans, and…I’m excited for you to see the film, just a few more months. Tease you a little bit more."

MORE TEASES FOR SPIDEY THREEQUEL

Marisa Tomei continued her already impressive career by taking on the role of Aunt May in 2016's Captain America: Civil War before playing the part in all three solo MCU Spider-Man movies that followed. While it's unclear how expansive May's role will be in the upcoming movie, it's clear that Tomei realizes how big this moment is and shared her appreciation to be a part of it all.

On the day the trailer was released, Tomei shared the trailer itself and expressed her own disbelief at everything fans saw happen to Peter Parker, MJ, and their friends and enemies alike. With May having known Peter's identity since Spider-Man: Homecoming and now seemingly set to forget it thanks to Doctor Strange, the film will bring something of a new dynamic to their relationship.

Now, the wait begins for Sony and Marvel to continue their marketing campaign for No Way Home as they work to figure out exactly what footage to tease fans with, and what to hide as well. It's fairly likely that Tomei will continue to be involved helping with promoting the material, and it will hopefully help fans deal with the excruciating wait for the movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release in theaters on December 17, 2021.
