Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Gets Spoofed by Jimmy Kimmel

Spider-Man, MCU, Marvel, Tom Holland, Jimmy Kimmel, Kraven the Hunter

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer recently dropped, and it seems to be living up to fan expectations. In fact, the trailer smashed records, beating even that of Avengers: Endgame.

That is an impressive feat to be sure, and it goes to show that one shouldn't underestimate the combination of Spider-Man and nostalgia. When Alfred Molina shows up as the same Doc Ock he portrayed in Spider-Man 2, it's all but an inevitability that the movie is going to bring in the crowds.

One villain that doesn't seem to be making his appearance in the film this time around is Kraven the Hunter, someone who was rumored time and time again early on in the film's development.

Now, that all might be changing as fans got another promo for the film but maybe not in the form they expected.

Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel unveiled a new promo for Spider-Man: Far From Home, one which spoofs himself on the screen as Kraven the Hunter and goes on to fight Spider-Man on the now iconic bridge.

The promo can be seen in the Tweet below:

KRAVEN THE ABSENT

This isn't the first time that Kimmel has poked fun at Kraven in Spider-Man. For whatever reason, it's a joke that the late-night talk show host stuck into and has never let go of.

Kraven's true future, sadly, doesn't seem to be with the MCU. Sony already announced a solo film featuring the character which will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the lead role.

While Spider-Man doesn't seem to be making an appearance in the film, the long-time webhead hunter is instead rumored to be going up against the Chameleon. He will also be joined by long-time partner Calypso; the two of them share a notable history in comics.

A release date for the Kraven the Hunter film has not yet been set, but fans can expect it to become a reality within the next year or two.

Spider-Man: No Way Home debuts in theaters on December 17, 2021.
