Had all things gone to plan, Robert Pattinson would have made his DC debut in The Batman several months ago. However, several pandemic-induced delays have forced the highly-anticipated release to March 2022 as the editing process continues.

It's almost been a year now since fans were treated to the first trailer for Matt Reeves' masterpiece as it debuted at DC FanDome in August 2020. With the long-awaited release now just six months away, Warner Bros. is preparing to show off the film once again at its second DC-centric event in October.

But as the world celebrates the annual Batman Day, Matt Reeves has offered up a small sneak peek at the film from his editing room.

New Look of Robert Pattinson's Batman Released

The Batman director Matt Reeves took to Twitter to celebrate Batman Day with a new look at Robert Pattinson's caped crusader firing his iconic grappling gun.

Alongside the newly-released image, Reeves confirmed he is still hard at work in the editing room as he shared his excitement to “share a lot more with you all four weeks from today” during the DC FanDome event:

“Wow, I have been away so long...! Just popping my head out of the editing room for a moment to say [Happy Batman Day]! Can’t wait to share a lot more with you all four weeks from today at [DC FanDome]! (Sorry about the messy desk #LongHours)”

The Batman hits theaters on March 4, 2022.
