Aquaman 2 Reveals First Concept Art, Set Footage & More From Jason Momoa Sequel
One major item on the DC FanDome agenda this year is Jason Momoa’s Aquaman sequel titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The film is expected to explore the aforementioned Lost Kingdom which was referenced in the original Aquaman.
Set to return alongside Momoa is Patrick Stewart as the villain Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta and Amber Heard as Meera. A range of new cast members will also be appearing in the film including Indya Moore’s The Shark who was originally a Green Lantern villain.
Filming for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is underway and a first look has been confirmed for DC FanDome 2021.
Aquaman 2 Exploring More DCEU Sets
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom received its first behind-the-scenes featurette at 2021's DC FanDome.
The featurette included cast members Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Stewart, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and director James Wan and showed off new concept art and the first footage from the set.
Some concept art showcasing a range of new locations from the Aquaman sequel was also included in the featurette.
The second Aquaman film will clearly be exploring some brand-new undersea worlds as seen in the concept art which includes new creatures like giant grasshoppers.
Director James Wan said the sequel is "more mature" and would be embracing its fantasy side in the sequel.
