Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka, Pedro Pascal's Mando & More Mandalorian Characters Receive Retro Figures
The Star Wars brand has been intrinsically tied to producing merchandise ever since the franchise's inception, and that train has not slowed down one bit.
Funko Pop! vinyls go hand in hand with the galaxy far, far away, with Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett figures based on their Mandalorian incarnations being the latest additions to the wide array of products.
Mark Hamill's character even received an incredibly lifelike Hot Toys figure inspired by his appearance in the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, with the Jedi coming equipped with his green lightsaber and a sport in his arms for Grogu.
Fan-favorite characters aren't the only ones that get toys made in their likeness though, as Star Wars creator George Lucas recently received his own figure from Hasbro.
Disney and Lucasfilm's latest marketing and merchandising push is the "Bring Home the Bounty" campaign, which will announce new products every week until the end of the year.
Now, fans will get the opportunity to purchase new favorites given a retro coat of paint.
Star Wars Reveals Retro Collection Figures
As part of the first "Bring Home the Bounty" drop, Star Wars has revealed a new lineup of figures named The Retro Collection by Hasbro.
The wave of action figures assembles a wide array of Star Wars characters new and old and fits them into a retro style reminiscent of classic 1978 Kenner toys. The figures are slated to release in July 2022.
First up is Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze, a character who straddles the line between animation and live-action thanks to her appearances in both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian:

The Mandalorian Goes Retro
The Retro Collection serves to celebrate The Mandalorian and Star Wars' history, which will be sure to attract all fans of the galaxy far, far away.
The vintage looks for these figures makes for some incredibly interesting designs, especially when comparing the toys to their in-universe counterparts on the packaging. If anything, it is quite amusing to look at the difference between Ahsoka Tano's one-mold white lightsabers with Rosario Dawson's elegant blades. But this just adds to the figures' classic charm.
The limited detailing for Ahsoka's face or the simplified molds for Pedro Pascal's character's accessories add to the retro aesthetic that the collection is striving for, perfect reverting these characters back to the days of Kenner.
Fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on these figures, but they can pre-order the entire Retro Collection here.
