Will Spider-Man: No Way Home's Next Trailer Debut With Eternals? New Evidence Offers Clues

Spider Man No Way Home Trailer 2

Spider-Man: No Way Home is undeniably the most talked-about movie currently, even with several major releases to come before its holiday release.

Going back a few months, fans were growing tired of waiting for Sony and Marvel Studios to finally release the first trailer. Ultimately, this wait came to an end on August 24, 2021, as the highly-anticipated trailer finally premiered at CinemaCon and online for the world to see.

Fast-forward to October 2021, anticipation is growing once again, this time for the second trailer which is expected to peel back the curtain on Spider-Man: No Way Home's many secrets.

After several rumored release dates have already proven false, new evidence has suggested the next peek at the multiverse-hopping sequel may still be some time away.

A recent Twitter post by CinemaBlend's Sean O'Connell claimed the second Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer still isn't finished and is therefore unlikely to play in front of Eternals.

The insider claims his sources have told him the trailer "isn't even finished" and "may not be finished in time for Eternals."

O'Connell went on to predict the highly-anticipated trailer may be released alongside Ghostbusters: Afterlife which hits theaters on November 18, 2021.

When Will the Second Trailer Spider-Man Drop?

Just as the first trailer saw, fans across social media are quickly growing impatient for Sony and Marvel Studios to release a new look at Spider-Man: No Way Home. But with Ghostbusters: Afterlife being Sony's only major release before the wall-crawler sequel, it makes sense for the studio to market them together.

Many are expecting the second trailer to include shots of the multiversal Sinister Six villains, a deeper look at the story, and a peek at the return of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Charlie Cox in their heroic roles.

When the trailer does finally arrive, it ought to be when Sony also releases the poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home. With under two months until release, movie theaters around the world would normally have posters on display by now to market such a major release, but the studio is continuing to hold back from releasing them.

Typically, superhero posters have a tendency to include every major player in the movie, both heroes and villains. The second trailer for No Way Home is expected to peel back the curtain on many of the film's secrets, which would then allow the studio to release a poster highlighting the Spider-Verse team-up and the Sinister Six line-up.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17, 2021.
