Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man: No Way Home Event Appearance Gets Debunked

Andrew Garfield, Spider-Man: No Way Home

It seems almost inevitable at this point that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home but have been scarce from the trailers and merchandise for the film.

However, many expect the two former Spider-Men to appear in the upcoming trailer, which will be released at a special fan event on November 16 at 5 p.m. PT in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, which will supposedly include "big surprises."

It was rumored that Garfield was spotted in L.A. recently, but, a new press release indicates that it will be quite impossible for the actor to attend the fan event for the trailer as he will have other obligations.

Andrew Garfield Won't Appear at New Trailer Premiere

According to the official Twitter account for Tick, Tick... Boom!, Andrew Garfield will be attending a special Q&A after the 9 p.m. EST showing of the film at New York City's The Paris Theater.

The upcoming trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home will be debuting in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles at 5 p.m. PT,  one hour before Garfield's special Q&A, making it physically impossible for him to make an appearance at the No Way Home event.

It's still unknown what "big surprises" Sony's marketing team will bring with the No Way Home trailer at the fan event.

Maybe Spider-Men Will Be On Zoom?

While Garfield can't appear in person at the event for the trailer, it's still entirely possible for him (and maybe even Tobey Maguire) to appear on Zoom to audiences. Of course, it wouldn't be anything new for an event like this, but Garfield would undoubtedly have time since the trailer reveal would happen an hour before Garfield's scheduled Q&A session for Tick, Tick... Boom!.

However, it seems like fans are getting their hopes astronomically high over the smallest of potential coincidences, as it's entirely possible that the trailer may not even show Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield. If there are going to be "big surprises" at this event, the two of them showing up would certainly fit that descriptor.

If not, hopefully, fans won't end up disappointed if neither makes an appearance in person at the event or the trailer. Fans will get to see Spider-Man: No Way Home in its entirety in theaters on December 17, 2021.
