Disney+ Iron Man Spinoff, Ironheart, Receives Special New Logo

Ironheart

Disney+ Day is offering new looks, trailers, and logos for a variety of upcoming projects from Marvel Studios. There were a few surprises but the majority of announcements were first looks and logo updates for projects already announced.

That does not take away from the excitement of 16 Marvel Studios projects getting highlighted in the 2021 Marvel Studios' Disney Plus Day Special.

While projects like Moonknight and She-Hulk will get the most attention with the first sneak peeks of the title heroes, there is plenty more to be excited about in the MCU's future

The least of which is a series focusing on a character that has potential ties to three major players in the MCU. Riri Williams is "coming soon" to Disney+ as Ironheart.

Ironheart Receives New Disney+ Logo

Marvel Studios unveiled a brand-new logo for its upcoming series, Ironheart. Ironheart is a story about Riri Willaims, a super-genius Iron Man fan who creates her own suit. The series will be streaming soon on Disney+.

The official new logo can be seen below:

Williams is reportedly appearing in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and is rumored to tie into the upcoming Armour Wars series. And obviously Ironheart will have major ties to Tony Stark and Iron Man

The MCU is rushing into the future and looking toward new heroes to carry the flame lit and maintained by the hall of fame characters of the MCU past.

Legacy will be an underlying theme of Phase 4 as Marvel Studios takes their patented patience approach in introducing the new while honoring the old. This has been shown multiple times already in the 2021 slate, with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Loki, and Hawkeye all dealing with new versions of classic names, like Captain America, Black Widow, Loki, and Hawkeye.

Ironheart looks to take a different yet similar approach by adapting a modern-day comic book hero, Riri Williams, as Ironheart. The idea is that Riri is a super-genius Tony Stark/Iron Man fan who steals some tech from her school in order to craft her own makeshift Iron Man suit. Turns out, she is pretty great at it and makes a suit that changes the Iron Man game.

The MCU tie-in is still unknown, but her appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hints at her running into another minority super-genius, Shuri. This pairing is a match made in heaven for a variety of reasons and is such a beautiful way to introduce Riri into the MCU. Her inclusion in Armor Wars could further her involvement into the game as she gears up for a solo journey.

It is not confirmed, but the theory could suggest that fans will get to know Riri Williams pretty well if she has two supporting appearances ahead of her own show. This has historically led to great success and amazing fan appreciation for new characters.
