Mark Hamill's Mandalorian Cameo Receives Epic New Funko Pop
The Mandalorian is filled with memorable moments, and one of them is Luke Skywalker's surprise arrival during the Season 2 finale. Luke appears at the tail-end of the episode, destroying a plethora of Dark Troopers in order to save Grogu and his allies from Moff Gideon's forces. The character, portrayed by Mark Hamill, was the leading Jedi in the Skywalker Saga, so his appearance in the hit Star Wars series was a big deal.
Many would agree that Luke's return during his prime Jedi years served as a visual treat since the sequel trilogy didn't entirely focus on the character during the height of his powers. Aside from Luke, The Mandalorian also featured the returns of iconic Star Wars characters such as Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano.
As the series moves forward with its upcoming third season, it is unknown if Luke will return to continue his newfound storyline with Grogu.
While fans speculate about his potential comeback, a new Funko Pop! figure surfaced to celebrate the Jedi's return in the Pedro Pascal-led series.
Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker Nabs Another Funko Pop
Entertainment Earth officially unveiled a brand-new Funko Pop! figure for The Mandalorian, showcasing a fresh look at Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker from the Season 2 finale.
The latest Pop! figure is a limited edition glow-in-the-dark version of the character, similar to his appearance when he entered Moff Gideon's ship during the finale:
The exclusive figure stands about 3.75 inches tall, showing off a hooded version of the famous Jedi while holding a glow-in-the-dark lightsaber.
This Entertainment Earth exclusive comes in window-box packaging, and it is priced at $14.99 USD. The figure is estimated to arrive in February 2022.
Fans can enhance their Jedi Funko collection by pre-ordering the figure here.
Remembering The Mandalorian's Memorable Moment
Many would agree that this new Funko Pop! figure should serve as a worthy addition to Star Wars collectors around the world.
Luke Skywalker's hooded version is one of the Jedi Master's iconic appearances from the Skywalker Saga, so grabbing a Funko-sized remembrance of this design would boost any galactic toy collection. The glow-in-the-dark lightsaber is an added bonus, especially considering that it is often considered a rare Funko variant.
Although it is still set for a February 2022 release, pre-ordering this collectible for a loved one should serve as a perfect treat for the holiday season for any Star Wars fan.
This isn't the first time that Funko designed a The Mandalorian-inspired figure for Luke. A previous release featured the same Jedi Master holding The Child aka Grogu without the hood.
This further proves that Funko has a variety of designs in mind to boost its sales, and it will be interesting to find more versions of other Star Wars characters in the near future. Maybe fans can get a trio pack consisting of Luke, Grogu, and R2-D2 sooner rather than later.
The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are streaming on Disney+.
