Spider-Man Stars Andrew Garfield & Tom Holland Reunite Ahead of MCU Crossover

Marvel Studios is soon approaching the world premiere for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will come as a game-changer in the superhero movie genre far past the MCU alone. With one of the biggest casts in any solo movie ever and an introduction to the Multiverse set to take over the plot, the threequel will make its presence felt in a big way upon its full debut.

Sony's event that helped introduce the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home made waves through the entire fandom as Peter Parker and Doctor Strange felt the effects of their botched spell to make Peter's identity secret again. That came on top of more footage from Alfred Molina's Doc Ock and the full introduction of four more villains that will give Spidey more than his fair share of trouble.

What Marvel and Sony decided not to show in this trailer were Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire, whose rumored returns as their respective Spider-Men have sent the MCU fandom into a frenzy.

That excitement went to an even higher level thanks to Garfield finding himself in the same image as Tom Holland and a widely-popular MCU hopeful.

Garfield & Holland With Miles Morales Hopeful Lil Nas

At the GQ Men of the Year Party, via Twitter, Spider-Man actors Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield were seen sharing a moment together amongst the crowd. This comes alongside rumors that Garfield will appear next to Holland as Spider-Man in next month's Spider-Man: No Way Home from Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures:

Also at the event was rapper Lil Nas X, who took a picture alongside Holland and Garfield while putting his name into consideration for the role of Miles Morales:

"the rumors are true i will be playing miles morales"

Garfield & Holland Teasing What's Coming?

No rumor in Hollywood has made its way through the news streams the way the one surrounding Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's upcoming returns has. Even with the confirmation of close to a full Sinister Six coming to the MCU in No Way Home, with a potential sixth member on the way, the chance to see a trio of live-action web-slingers in the same movie is simply too exciting to pass up.

Sony and Marvel opted not to show Garfield or Maguire's Spider-Men from the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb-directed films in the second trailer for the MCU's Spider-Man threequel, eliciting mixed reactions from the fandom. Shortly after this came to be, rumors teased that they both will have about half an hour of screentime in No Way Home, only leveling up anticipation to see their heroes expanded upon in the MCU.

As for Lil Nas X's social media blast, he seems to be diving fully into the hype that this movie is bringing with his self-cast as Miles Morales.

Of course, Miles is a character that's most likely going to enter the MCU at some point, having been teased as early as Spider-Man: Homecoming with Donald Glover playing his uncle, Aaron Davis. Nas X wouldn't even be the first former pop star to join the MCU after Harry Styles' recent debut as Eros/Starfox in Eternals.

No matter what becomes of Nas X's cry for an MCU role, Garfield and Holland will remain in the conversation regarding No Way Home for the foreseeable future.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will debut in theaters on December 17, 2021.
