Hawkeye Episode 5 Will Reportedly Blow Up Twitter
Marvel Studios has delivered its first truly festive outing with Hawkeye, a wholesome street-level adventure in the criminal underworld of New York starring original Avenger Clint Barton and young archer Kate Bishop. With half of the series already streaming on Disney+, viewers have already been treated to plenty of action spectacles and surprising moments.
But the archer-centric seems to have plenty more surprises more to come before the credits roll on the finale - this comes with both Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin reportedly set to appear.
Belova's appearance in Hawkeye was previously confirmed earlier in the year before being teased in the post-credits scene of Black Widow. The scene saw Belova working for Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Valentina before being sent on a revenge-fueled mission to kill Clint Barton for his role in Natasha Romanoff's death.
Meanwhile, D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, was seemingly teased in the series' third episode with a spine-tingling hint towards the identity of Echo's Uncle which, based on comic connections, could be the Daredevil crime boss.
As fans speculate on what to expect from the series' second half, recent comments from an insider have suggested Episode 5 may be set to shock fans.
What's Hawkeye Episode 5
According to insiders from TVLine, Hawkeye Episode 5 will reportedly generate great interest on social media, indicating a shocking reveal may be coming soon.
When asked if they have heard anything about what's to come from Hawkeye, TVLine revealed the series' fifth installment "should blow up Twitter a bit:"
"Only that Episode 5, I hear, should blow up Twitter a bit."
What is Hawkeye's Shocking Moment?
Each of Marvel Studios' live-action Disney+ series so far has delivered at least one shocking moment. WandaVision delivered a surprising appearance from Evan Peters as Quicksilver, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier saw John Walker use Captain America's shield to commit a brutal murder, and Loki revealed a slough of Variants of the God of Mischief.
For now, it's hard to determine what arrows Hawkeye may have in its quiver to shock viewers in the penultimate chapter. But with both Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin and Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova lined up for the later episodes, an appearance from either would undoubtedly stir up great excitement among fans.
Despite having seemingly had his MCU return spoiled through leaks, many fans would still be shocked by Kingpin's appearance, making it the most probable theory here. His potential role as Echo's Uncle and crime boss has already been teased earlier in the series after all, and past rumors have indicated he would appear in the fifth episode.
Interestingly, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, will reportedly appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home this month as Peter Parker's lawyer. With Hawkeye's fifth and penultimate chapter dropping on Disney+ in the same week the threequel hits theaters, it would be fitting for Kingpin and Daredevil to make their MCU returns just days apart.
But with the viral popularity that surrounded Pugh's Yelena after Black Widow, her first modern-day MCU appearance would equally garner some interest. Even though her return was already officially confirmed several months back and teased in Black Widow's post-credits scene, it would undoubtedly still drive the fans crazy.
But since this is the MCU, viewers shouldn't rule out the possibility of a surprise nobody has seen coming. After all, that is what Marvel Studios does best. Whatever the case, all will become clear soon as Hawkeye Episode 5 will premiere in under two weeks on December 15, 2021, exclusively on Disney+.
