John Cena's Peacemaker: New 3-Minute Trailer & Poster Released

John Cena as Peacemaker, HBO Max

Peacemaker is set to bring back John Cena's DCEU anti-hero from The Suicide Squad. Developed and directed by James Gunn, the upcoming HBO Max series picks up after the events of Task Force X's mission in Corto Maltese, where Christopher Smith is sent on a brand new and dangerous mission presumably under Amanda Waller's orders.

Cena will be joined by a stellar ensemble such as The Suicide Squad's Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, and DCEU newcomers Danielle Brooks, and Freddie Stroma as Vigilante.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but the show's trailer confirmed that it will explore the titular character's relationship with his father. It is unknown if Peacemaker will address the fallout of the events of The Suicide Squad, but it seems that Smith's loyalty will be tested once again.

Now, as the show's premiere inches closer, marketing has ramped up by revealing another trailer for the series.
