Marvel Celebrates Hawkeye's Hailee Steinfeld & Alaqua Cox With New Funkos
Hawkeye has introduced many interesting characters into the MCU, and one of them is Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez aka Echo. The character first made her presence felt at the tail-end of the show's second episode before showcasing a full-blown debut in Episode 3. The third installment featured a glimpse at Echo's origin story as well as her impressive martial arts skills.
Hawkeye will serve as the launchpad for Echo's MCU journey since she is set to headline her own Disney+ spinoff in the near future. So far, the character's backstory heavily suggests that Cox's Echo is tied with Wilson Fisk, which makes perfect sense due to the pair's connection in Marvel Comics.
The MCU's Echo is also the leader of the Tracksuit Mafia, a New York-based crime group. It was later revealed that Clint Barton's Ronin is the one responsible for the death of Echo's father, thus explaining the character's deep hatred toward the Avenger and, recently, Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop.
At this stage, it remains to be seen how Echo's story will move forward in Hawkeye. As fans wait for the character's next chapter, a brand-new collectible figure has been unveiled.
Maya Lopez Shines in Funko Form
Funko officially unveiled a brand new collectible figure of Maya Lopez's Echo from Hawkeye.
The six-inch vinyl figure is a series-accurate depiction of the Marvel character from the Jeremy Renner-led series:
Echo's Funko Pop! figure comes packaged in a window display box, and it is set to be released sometime in February 2022:

As part of the Echo-related reveal, Funko also confirmed that an Amazon Exclusive Kate Bishop collectible is also available for pre-order. The 3.75-inch tall collectible highlights Kate's purple super suit along with her iconic bow and arrow:
Echo's Impressive MCU Debut
Many would agree that this latest Funko Pop! figure of Echo is a celebration of her impressive MCU debut.
It is unknown if Echo will receive a new costume down the line, but it's worth pointing out that the character's current design fits the street-level vibe of Hawkeye. Echo's Funko form should serve as a valuable addition to any Marvel toy collector, especially considering the character's notable adventures in the comics.
It's safe to assume that Echo will continue to be part of more MCU events in the future, thus allowing Funko to create other collectibles with new designs for the character.
Meanwhile, Hailee Steinfeld's super suit in Hawkeye has been featured prominently in the show's marketing drive. The Amazon exclusive figure highlights the character's fighting stance as she prepares to battle foes with her bow and arrow.
Hawkeye has already given fans a taste of the duel between Kate Bishop and Echo, and it will be interesting to find out if there will be a rematch in the series' final three installments. On a more positive note, it's also possible that a team-up between the pair could also be in the cards since Echo is not a villain from the comics.
