Star Wars Casts Birds of Prey's Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Ahsoka Disney+ Show
Along with other major Star Wars series releasing in 2022 like the currently running The Book of Boba Fett and the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi, Lucasfilm is hard at work on Rosario Dawson’s first solo entry as former Jedi leader Ahsoka Tano. Following the actress’ 2020 live-action debut in Chapter 13 of The Mandalorian, Dawson’s Ahsoka series will provide the deepest look yet at one of Star Wars’ longest-running heroes.
Filming is rumored to begin for Ahsoka in the next few months while Lucasfilm works to bring an all-star cast into the series to help tell the story for Dawson’s hero. This includes an exciting comeback for Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, bringing back the Snips/Skyguy relationship that served as one of the driving forces of the animated series The Clone Wars.
Dawson and Christensen will also have Star Wars newcomer Natasha Liu Bordizzo alongside them as Sabine Wren from Rebels and Ivanna Sakhno in an undisclosed role. Now, this quartet of stars becomes a quintet thanks to news of another big addition to the upcoming live-action entry's cast.
