Watch: Disney+ Changes Marvel Icon For WandaVision's Release
The return of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally arrived as the world flocks to Disney+ to watch the franchise's first new entry of Phase 4: WandaVision. Tiny details are in the midst of being discovered from every angle, and the plot is being closely analyzed, yet celebrated by fans who have waited a year and a half for anything new from Marvel Studios.
Early reviews are praising WandaVision as an instant hit, especially for those who have stuck with the MCU on its journey for more than twelve years to date. The tributes to classic sitcoms of the 1950s and 60s help provide a fresh look into the world of Marvel superheroes, and it seems as though the plot will only thicken as the weeks pass on.
Due to an event this massive, Disney+ saw this as a golden opportunity to make a small update on their home page.

The video that plays when hovering over this tab now includes the Marvel introduction logo turning from color to black & white, which is a clear reference to the first two episodes of WandaVision being shown in black & white.

WHAT THIS MEANS
While this doesn't mean anything Earth-shattering for the actual story of WandaVision, it's a nice touch by the streaming service to which the show calls home.
This is the first new project released from Marvel Studios since Spider-Man: Far From Home in July 2019, and the wait has been particularly arduous due to so many delays to the start of Phase 4. It's also Marvel Studios' first entry to exclusively stream on Disney+, kicking off a new era of storytelling via long-form TV shows that should add even more depth to the larger MCU.
Even though it appears that the first two episodes may be the only ones fully in black & white due to the ending of Episode 2, the tribute to sitcoms from the 1950's and 60s served as a way to show how different WandaVision will be than anything preceding it from Marvel Studios. The team behind this show put forth every effort to make these two entries as authentic as possible, and it appears to have paid off according to early rave reviews.
The first two episodes of WandaVision are now available to stream on Disney+.
