Falcon and Winter Soldier: Sam's Captain America & US Agent Receive New Funko Pops
While Marvel's second Disney+ series concluded with its sixth episode titled "One World, One People," Marvel fans are still processing what its events and reveals mean for future MCU films and series.
Along with a new Captain America in Sam Wilson, the finale established John Walker as the U.S. Agent, Sharon Carter as the Power Broker (maybe?), further revealed Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the intriguing Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and possibly laid the groundwork for the Thunderbolts.
So, yeah, there's a lot being set up here.
And, for fans enjoying something new to speculate and those eager to add to their collection, Marvel has released new merch celebrating The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
SAM WILSON AS CAPTAIN AMERICA RECEIVES HIS FIRST FUNKO POP
Official promotional images have surfaced online, via Twitter user The Falcon and the Winter Soldier News and Marvel.com, of new Funko Pops! for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, including two versions of Sam Wilson as the new Captain America.
In addition to a new Bucky Barnes Funko Pop!, fans can now own a figure of Sam as Cap in his new, Wakanda-made Captain America suit holding the shield.
Wyatt Russell's performance as John Walker was one of the highlights of the series and looks to play a role in future MCU projects. It's unlikely this is the last Funko Pop! fans will see of Walker's U.S. Agent.
The second figure, however, is another version of Wilson's Cap but in mid-flight with his Falcon-esque wings on full display.
The final photo shows not only the new Falcon and Winter Soldier Funkos in the pipeline but also an assortment of other merchandise celebrating the Disney+ series.
Close-up looks at three of these figures were also released, showing off costume details of the finale suits.
Fans can expect these The Falcon and Winter Soldier Funko Pop! figures to available for pre-order online imminently.
NEW FUNKO POPS!, ASSEMBLE!
Those who love to collect Funko Pops! no doubt have countless versions of Steve Rogers as Captain America. This particular release marks the first time fans can add Sam Wilson as Captain America to their collection and marks one of the most significant moments of the Disney+ series.
This marks one of the few times Bucky Barnes is on display as a fully developed character and established hero.
And, this release is the first time fans can add a figure of the complicated character of John Walker as U.S. Agent. Beforehand, Marvel had released a Funko Pop! of John Walker as Captain America, however, that mantle is no more.
Considering how The Falcon and the Winter Soldier moved deeper into Marvel's Phase 4 story and set the stage for what's to come, it's great to see that Marvel fans have a way to commemorate the series and bring a piece of it home.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney+.
