It's just a few months from the original release date of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Prior to numerous COVID-19 delays, the release was originally set for May 2021, although it was eventually moved to March 2022 due to the ongoing pandemic.
The multiverse-centric epic is set to continue the story of WandaVision with the return of Scarlet Witch, while also following on from Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which the Sorcerer Supreme is set to appear.
Little is known about the story of the film itself; however, Doctor Strange actor Benedict Cumberbatch has continued to praise director Sam Raimi while sharing his excitement for the film.

A MULTIVERSE-HOPPING EPIC
From everything revealed so far about the upcoming multiverse-hopping Doctor Strange sequel, the film is certainly going to be grand in scale. The film will serve as the first horror-inspired film in the MCU, making Sam Raimi a perfect fit to take on the directing chair given his decades of experience in that genre.
With Scarlet Witch returning to continue on from the events from WandaVision, the debut of America Chavez, and the first Marvel multiverse exploration in the live-action, it's clear there's a lot going on in this film.
This isn't the first time Cumberbatch has described Raimi's extremely “collaborative” process, which seems to indicate he and the others have had a lot of influence over the film as production continues.
Currently, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to release in March 2022, with production currently underway in London with plans for filming in New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.
