Hawkeye: Hailee Steinfeld & Jeremy Renner Give Update From Marvel Set
Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld have been hard at work on the set of Hawkeye, performing stunts and preparing for car chases. Since the beginning of December, production has been moving smoothly with no delays, unlike the Doctor Strange sequel and other Marvel Studios productions.
As far as set leaks have shown, this show will be a very close adaptation of the character's most beloved run from writer Matt Fraction. Before releasing the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier tomorrow, like WandaVision, a virtual launch event happened with multiple MCU stars making brief appearances, including Renner and Steinfeld.
AN UPDATE FROM RENNER AND STEINFELD
Near the end of the virtual launch event for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld made an appearance from the set of Hawkeye to congratulate the team on the impending release of the new series.
“Hey, congratulations, guys! This is Jeremy and Hailee on the set of Hawkeye!”

Both actors can be seen wearing thick jackets outdoors, and FX make-up and are surrounded by blue screens, indicating they are performing a potentially effects-heavy scene or stunt.
The full virtual press event for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier can be seen below with Renner and Steinfeld popping up around the 19:10 mark:
BEAT UP, BUT NOT BEATEN
This short little appearance from the two actors made sure to point out to viewers how much FX make-up both actors were wearing, showing how beat up both characters have gotten. Cuts on both their faces with Steinfeld's Kate Bishop even sporting a black eye for her crime-fighting trouble.
Seeing both characters getting more injured as the series progresses would be interesting to see, as it showcases both of them still being normal people who aren't invulnerable like some of their fellow costumed heroes. However, it's just another cool reference to the Matt Fraction series of comics, as it showcased both characters gaining injuries over the course of the story.
Hawkeye will release on Disney+ in late 2021.
