Justice League Snyder Cut: Sequel Possibility Addressed By Zack Snyder

Zack Snyder, Justice League

After being the center of rumors for most of the last three years, and after so many months filled with legitimate discussions since last spring, Zack Snyder's Justice League is available for the public to stream on HBO Max. It's safe to say that plenty of hype and anticipation has been built up for this debut, and now, all fans need to do is find four hours to spare so that they can enjoy this massive adventure.

Now that the Snyder Cut is a reality, the question that remains is this: where does Zack Snyder go from here with the DC Extended Universe? There are currently more than a handful of movies and TV shows confirmed or rumored to be in development, and Snyder has surely been open to a return to the franchise given the right opportunity.

He continued to tease this fact in a recent interview discussing what comes for him post-Snyder Cut.

SNYDER OPEN FOR MORE IN THE DCEU

In a recent interview with Tyrone Magnus on his YouTube channel, director Zack Snyder teased the possibility of returning to the canon DCEU after more than three years away from the action.

When Magnus asked if Snyder would take Warner Bros.' call assuming Zack Snyder's Justice League was successful upon its release, he simply admitted that "stranger things have happened." In the end, the director kept the possibility of a return open by saying "you never know:"

"I didn’t think I’d be talking to you right now about Justice League, so clear stranger things have happened, we’ve witnessed that. So I’m just the guy saying…you never know. Never say never."

THE FUTURE OF THE SNYDERVERSE IN THE DCEU

It's abundantly clear that Zack Snyder and the DCEU have a deep connection with one another, as Snyder has served as either a producer or director on all but one of the ten movies released in the franchise to date. He had a rough public departure from 2017's Justice League, which still angers many DC fans to this date because of the fallout, but there is still the potential for more Snyder action in the future.

On multiple occasions, Snyder has been more than open about revealing what his plans for future Justice League sequels would be if presented with the chance to put them to screen. Many of these plans were centered around the anti-life concept with characters like the Riddler, Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, and more teaming up to form the Injustice League and Darkseid continuing to wreak havoc as well.

Diehard Snyder fans have been incredibly vocal about wanting to see the famed director return to the DCEU to finish his original vision even after the Snyder Cut debuts publicly. Whether this comes to reality is still a complete mystery, but it appears that the door isn't definitively closed for Snyder as he thinks about what he would do with the Justice League on the big screen.

For now, fans can enjoy Zack Snyder's Justice League, which is officially available to stream on HBO Max.
