Thor 4: Jaime Alexander Suggests She's Finished Filming Chris Hemsworth Movie
As 2021 approaches the end of its first quarter, Marvel Studios is well underway shooting and producing more than a handful of Phase 4 entries as new premieres arrive by the week. Included in this production schedule is the 2022 Summer blockbuster Thor: Love and Thunder, which is already looking to be the God of Thunder's most expansive solo feature to date.
After teaming up with Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, Chris Hemsworth and director Taika Waititi are looking to up the ante to new levels for this fourth solo film in the Thor franchise. This is largely helped by Natalie Portman's Jane Foster becoming the Mighty Thor as she, the Asgardians, and possibly the Guardians of the Galaxy face off against Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher.
As for progress on filming this epic film, one of its starring actresses recently indicated the end of her time on set.
JAIMIE ALEXANDER BIDS GOODBYE TO AUSTRALIA
In a new story on Instagram, Lady Sif actress Jaimie Alexander posted that she just arrived in Los Angeles after a flight from Sydney, Australia.
This story indicates that she has finished her filming duties as Lady Sif in 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder considering that the Chris Hemsworth sequel production has been docked in Sydney since January.
Her final picture shows the song playing on her flight, "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls while presumably landing in Los Angeles.
LADY SIF HAS LEFT THE BUILDING
Thor: Love and Thunder still likely has a ways to go in order to finish filming, but it's appearing that there are plenty of actors whose roles in the adventure don't require their usual dose of screen time. This seems to be the case with Jaimie Alexander as well, although simply having her in the movie is exciting enough considering she was absent from Thor: Ragnarok.
Now that the Sif star has likely finished her work on the fourth Chris Hemsworth-leading MCU movie, the wait begins to find out what her role in the movie will be, as well as finding out where she has been for a decade within the MCU. There are other rumors pointing to Alexander making an appearance in 2021's Loki on Disney+, which fans are hoping will help fill in some of those gaps.
Production continues on Thor: Love and Thunder, which will premiere in theaters on May 6, 2022.
