Zack Snyder's Justice League Composer Reveals Batman's New Bat Signal Theme

Bat Signal, Commissioner Gordon

Noted DC Extended Universe director Zack Snyder is just under three weeks away from revealing his vision for Justice League to the world with the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League. With hype building up for this film for most of the past year, Snyder is ramping up the promotional tour for this new version of DC's team-up movie seemingly every day.

In the last few weeks, news has come to light discussing Jared Leto's return as the Joker along with the semi-unsurprising surprise cameo for Harry Lennix's Martian Manhunter. Snyder has even revealed that a full black & white version of this cut will come to HBO Max a short time after the first Snyder Cut arrives on March 18.

Among the changes in this movie will be adjustments to the orchestral score, which was teased in more detail during a recent video chat.

A NEW MUSICAL THEME FOR THE SNYDER CUT

In a new interview on the Junkie v Junkie YouTube channel, Junkie XL teased a sound clip of the new Batman Bat Signal theme song that will be featured in Zack Snyder's Justice League. The clip can be seen in the Tweet below from user @THEMONKETHEORY:

A NEW THEME FOR THE CAPED CRUSADER

Bruce Wayne and his alter ego are clearly going to play an important role in the Snyder Cut, as has been the case through most of the DCEU to date. With the Dark Knight holding this pivotal status again in this next adventure, it makes sense that the film's composer is making sure he has the appropriate soundtrack to come with him.

It's unknown where this theme will come into play during the Snyder Cut's four-hour runtime, or how often it will be heard, but it's certainly a powerful theme regardless of how many times it will make an appearance.

Junkie XL has spoken multiple times on what he will be doing with the Snyder Cut's score, and it should fit in well with the rest of the DCEU considering his past work with Zack Snyder. However it turns out, it will certainly be something to listen for when this extended release finally makes its debut.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will release on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
