Zack Snyder's Justice League: Steppenwolf Battles Atlanteans In New Clip

Steppenwolf and Aquaman Justice League

There are less than two weeks remain until HBO Max plays host to Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which will arrive on March 18. After hype has slowly built up for this release for more than two years, the famed DCEU director is finally set to share his vision of what Justice League was intended to be with the viewing public.

Just as he has done for most of the last year, Snyder will undoubtedly bring an increasing number of teases and short looks at the characters set to tell this reinvented epic. This has already been the case in the last few days with new looks at heroes like Superman in the most recent trailer as well as an updated glimpse at the villainous Darkseid.

Coming from the same side of that darkness, Snyder has just shared a new look into a returning villain from Justice League’s 2017 theatrical release.

THE RETURN OF STEPPENWOLF

The official Instagram page for Zack Snyder’s Justice League has shared a new Story featuring a clip from the movie, which releases on March 18, 2021. The video features Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the Altanteans facing off against one of the film's primary antagonists, Steppenwolf, as he attempts to steal the Mother Box hidden in Atlantis.

UNDERWATER MAYHEM IN THE SNYDER CUT

The original cut of Justice League featured a scene with Steppenwolf stealing the Atlantis Motherbox just as the Snyder Cut will. However, with this new release coming in at a whopping four hours and one minute long, there will surely be some extensions to many scenes, likely including this one.

While the Snyder Cut will make some drastic changes to many aspects of the original movie, it will still largely focus on the six core heroes along with villains like Steppenwolf and Darkseid. Aquaman will undoubtedly play a key role both in protecting the Mother Boxes and stopping the plot of multiple villains while hopefully gaining some more solid footing with his individual storyline.

Now that the release date quickly approaches, fans can expect the promotional tour to ramp up immensely over the coming days. With the anticipation that has already been built from Snyder and the film's cast, the Snyder Cut fandom is on the edge of its collective seat waiting for the final result to arrive.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will debut on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
