Robert Pattinson's The Batman: Barry Keoghan Reveals Movie Crew Apparel In New Selfie
Many would agree that The Batman is one of the most anticipated DCEU films, especially after the barrage of details that were revealed during last year's DC FanDome. Directed by Matt Reeves, the film is set to feature a brand-new version of The Dark Knight who will be played by Robert Pattinson, and the actor will be joined by a stacked ensemble of stars.
Alongside Robert Pattinson, The Batman will also showcase Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin. Plot details of the film are still being kept under wraps, but it was confirmed that it will revolve around the second year of Bruce Wayne's caped adventures in Gotham City.
Given that production for the film wrapped last March, marketing should ramp up again. Now, a sneak peek at one of the actors directly involved with the film has emerged online.
BARRY KEOGHAN SHARES THE BATMAN SET PHOTO
The Batman star Barry Keoghan, who plays Gotham PD officer Stanley Merkel, shared a new photo of himself on social media. The selfie shows Keoghan wearing a fleece with The Batman symbol above "CREW," indicating that this apparel was given to the men and women who worked on the film's production.

A SNEAK PEEK AT THE BATMAN COMING SOON?
On the surface, Keoghan's recent selfie could simply be him sharing his new Batman-inspired garb for fans to see. Still, as comic book movie fans know by now, it's possible that there is a deeper meaning behind this social media post.
After the first trailer's premiere during DC FanDome, marketing for The Batman has slowed down, which is understandable due to the fact that only a minimal amount of scenes were filmed then. Now that production has wrapped, there's a chance that Reeves and his crew can show more finished material for fans to dial hype for the film.
It is currently unknown how Keoghan's Stanley Merkel will fit into the narrative, but it looks like he will have a substantial role opposite to Jeffrey Wright's James Gordon. Based on this image, it is also possible that reshoots for The Batman could be underway to either add or improve scenes involving the pair for post-production.
Hopefully, more positive surprises surface from The Batman's development in the coming months.
The Batman is set to premiere in theaters on March 4, 2022.
