Marvel Leak Reveals MCU Infinity Saga LEGO Sets Featuring Thanos, Captain America & More
Marvel Studios worked for years to build its name as a major player in the entertainment industry by bringing the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life. This turned into the most successful movie franchise in history, largely thanks to the efforts of the Infinity Saga between 2008 and 2019.
The MCU's first 23 movies became an iconic movie adventure over the years, inspiring collectible items and merchandise with the release of every new movie.
Recent news blasts have featured memorable items available for purchase like the Marvel Legends series, which includes figurines of Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Last month brought a new inclusion in Thor from Avengers: Endgame and both new MCU Disney+ shows made their mark as well with replicas of Wanda Maximoff, Captain America, and more.
Now, LEGO is jumping in on this game with a new set based on the MCU's first three phases of movies.
LEGO AVENGERS, ASSEMBLE!
Instagram user @republicdogstudios shared a handful of posts revealing leaked images of unannounced LEGO sets inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Infinity Saga.
The crown jewel of this Infinity Saga LEGO wave is a set showcasing the epic final battle from Avengers: Endgame against Thanos, featuring LEGO pieces for the Quantum van, the Avengers facility, and multiple key characters in the scene.
Captain America can be seen on a motorcycle throwing his shield at the enemy, reminiscent of his action scenes from Captain America: The First Avenger and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The original Iron Man suit from 2008's Iron Man — the one that Tony Stark was able to build in a cave with a box of scraps — looks to have its own LEGO set as well.
Black Panther made its mark with its own set of a Dragon Flyer. These Wakandan ships came in as one of the more visually stunning vehicles in Phase 3.
Some pieces are shown off right after being taken out of the box, specifically Cap's bike and part of the Dragon Flyer.
Fans can expect these LEGO sets to be officially announced soon.
A NEW LEGO MCU WORLD TO BUILD
There are still plenty of other details that remain hidden for this set, but these teases give LEGO and Marvel fans something exciting to build upon its release.
This set has 23 movies worth of story material from which to take inspiration, and it seems likely that most of those movies will make their way into LEGO form one way or another.
Avengers: Endgame is undoubtedly the highlight with its standing as the second-highest grossing movie ever, and everything that came before it played key roles in building the expansive narrative.
The biggest questions that surround this set are when it will officially be available for purchase and what other specific pieces will be included. No matter what those answers are, this set comes as yet another outstanding tribute to the legacy Marvel Studios built with the Infinity Saga.
