Venom 2: Marvel Reveals Best Look Yet at Woody Harrelson's Carnage With New Funko Pop
While the MCU is currently on hiatus for a few more weeks, Sony Pictures is jumping in on the blockbuster fray with Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Tom Hardy’s second Marvel outing debuted its first full trailer the other day, showcasing another round of action with a terrifying new symbiotic villain.
The Sony-produced sequel releases in just over four months, which means the studio will be all over promotional material and merchandising for the next few weeks. Jumping on the game in this department is Funko, who produce mass quantities of figurines for major comic book movie releases from the biggest studios in the business.
For Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the movie's central hero and villain are featured in the latest round of pre-orders...

LET THERE BE CARNAGE FUNKOS!
On face value, these are two exciting new collectible items that should be quite popular among fans of Sony's Spider-Man movies. Particularly with the Carnage one coming in as a bigger Pop! than normal, it will be a standout amongst its smaller peers in fans' collection.
Additionally, it will be interesting to see if this means anything in terms of the Venom sequel's rating when it comes to theaters. It's very rare for Funko to make collectible items for R-rated movies, which could mean the PG-13 trend is continuing after 2018's Venom received that rating.
While that may come as a bit of a disappointment for fans, Sony should still be able to bring an exciting movie with insane visuals that were already teased in the trailer. The original Venom film became a billion-dollar box office hit with the PG-13 rating, and the hope is that its follow-up will do the same.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will debut in theaters on September 24, 2021.
