Loki Disney+ Series Includes Breakdown of Chris Hemsworth's First Thor Movie
With just a few days before Loki arrives, Marvel has been pulling out all the stops when it comes to marketing the show. How could they not?
Given the success of WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki's momentum is at an all-time high. But even without those other Disney+ shows, Tom Hiddleston's performance as the God of Mischief is a fan-favorite part of the MCU. So give the man his own show, and people are going to be all over it. Rightfully so.
The first two episodes of Loki are already getting heaping critical praise from critics. Some even claim the show is "unlike anything [Marvel has] ever done before." Loki even marks a big MCU first by confirming that Loki is a gender-fluid character.
So, while fans continue to wait for the show to drop, why not take a look at a brand-new Easter Egg spotted in a new featurette?
LOKI EVENT REPORT
Marvel released a brand new featurette for their upcoming Disney+ show Loki, this time focusing on Owen Wilson's character Mobius M. Mobius.
Within it, there's a quick shot of what seems to be an Event Report detailing everything that went down during Chris Hemsworth's first Thor movie.
Fans can examine the shot with their own eyes down below, and the full featurette can be seen in the link found above.
There's a lot to take in here. Obviously, under the Event Summary section, the document lists events throughout 2011's Thor. Included are notes about how "Thor's royal coronation ceremony was stopped" as well as how soldiers of Jotunheim "whom Loki summoned..."
There are plenty of codes and such that are impossible to decipher, such as the time status being labeled as "IPB-ASG-001 5001B."
Then there's the interesting statement towards the top, underneath the "Event Analysis" line, which seems to say "Rebuilt with Tesseract by Thor..."
CATASTROPHIC EVENTS FROM CHRIS HEMSWORTH'S THOR
While the exact purpose of this document won't be seen until the series hits Disney+, it's clear that the TVA has been keeping a very close eye on Tom Hiddleston's Loki. It's interesting that while the events of the Chris Hemsworth-led standalone are said to be a "Catastrophic Event," there wasn't any interference by the organization—or at least none that fans saw.
Clearly, Loki's mischief in Thor wasn't nearly as big as using the Tesseract to break the timeline (unknowingly, of course). An interesting additional note in the report is the fact that there were 223 casualties thanks to Tom Hiddleston's antics. The collateral damage is often overlooked, so it's always intriguing when little tidbits like that show up.
Loki officially premieres on Disney+ on June 9. So, while the wait is a difficult one, rest assured that it's almost over. Why not have a bowl of Loki's Charms while you wait?
