Marvel Star Scarlett Johansson Pregnant With Another Child
Scarlett Johansson is finding herself in the heart of the comic book movie news stream thanks to the long-awaited release of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow coming this week.
After two full years away from theaters for the MCU and more than a year after the movie was supposed to debut, the wait is finally over for Natasha Romanoff’s first solo outing. Johansson has worked long and hard to get this film off the ground after starring in six previous Infinity Saga stories, and she’s ready to give the former Russian assassin the story she deserves.
Fans have seen Johansson grow in her role as a hero over more than a decade, bearing witness to some exciting personal milestones through the process. This is the very woman who acted in an entire team-up movie while pregnant, completing her work on Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015 before having her first child with Romain Dauriac.
Johansson is experiencing a similar joy the very week of possibly her final theatrical outing with Marvel.
BLACK WIDOW STAR EXPECTING
Page Six reported that Black Widow star/producer Scarlett Johansson is expecting her second child, her first with her husband Colin Jost. Rumors of her pregnancy began circling after the actress missed multiple press events for Black Widow, which is due in theaters and on Disney+ on July 9.
A MINI-WIDOW ON THE WAY?
What a moment for the MCU’s original heroine!
After enjoying so much time as one of Marvel’s premier female superheroes, Scarlett Johansson now has something even bigger to celebrate as she likely exits the franchise. Not one to hide her happiness with her husband, long-time Saturday Night Live writer Colin Jost, this is surely a joyous occasion for the couple after four years together.
No details on when Johansson is due have been made public, but she will undoubtedly be looking forward to this moment after enjoying the Black Widow debut.
As for Johansson’s next moves on the screen, fans can expect to hear her take on the voiceover role for Natasha Romanoff in August’s What If…? for Marvel Studios a few weeks after her live-action solo movie debuts. Marvel is also reportedly looking to keep her involved with the MCU in some capacity, whether it be acting or producing, and it will be exciting to find out more details about this endeavor when they come.
The Direct sends our congratulations to Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost on their first child together!
