Sony Debunks Venom 2 Delay Rumors
Sony Pictures is living large at the moment thanks to the overwhelmingly positive release of the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The first look at the 2021 threequel set the stage for mind-blowing expansion to the Spider-man universe with a multiversal adventure filled with even more insanity than ever expected.
On the other end of Sony’s spectrum is the recently renamed Sony’s Marvel Universe, which is set to move forward with Tom Hardy’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage. After 2018’s Venom turned into an unexpected box-office hit, Sony is looking forward to delivering Woody Harrelson’s terrifying symbiotic villain wreaking havoc against Eddie Brock and his human-hungry friend.
Amongst the numerous delays to major Hollywood blockbusters, the Venom sequel has moved around a few times with rumors of even being pushed into early 2022. Interestingly, a new rumor is seemingly pointing to something more positive in terms of release dates.
NO DELAYS FOR VENOM SEQUEL?
Variety reported that a Sony Pictures insider has debunked the rumors of Venom: Let There Be Carnage being delayed until January 2022. The outlet states the film is still expected to release on its current premiere date of October 15, 2021.
