Tom Holland Can't Believe Avengers: Endgame's Record Got Broken by Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer

Spider-Man, MCU, Marvel

For the past few months, all MCU fans have been able to talk about is Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sure, there was some discussion about how Loki created the multiverse and introduced Kang, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is just around the corner, but... Spider-Man.

Beyond just how popular the character is, the rumors surrounding the film have been insane. There are whispers of things that no one thought would ever happen on screen. So when the first trailer for the next Spidey adventure dropped, people were understandably pumped.

So much so, it broke records—it even did better than the Avengers: Endgame trailer; that's quite the feat. Though it helps when one's trailer hints at the return of Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, while flat out showing what many people consider to be one of the best comic book movie villains ever: Alfred Molina's Doc Ock.

With how astonishingly successful the teaser was, Spider-Man star Tom Holland had to come out and thank fans, while also voicing his disbelief at the intensity of the world's excitement.

TOM HOLLAND CELEBRATES

After the teaser trailer broke records, Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland took to his Instagram story and shared his excitement for all of the fan support.

Along with the image of the news headline, Holland included a message, saying "This is incredible. I honestly can't believe it. This movie is so crazy and I can't wait to share it with you. #BecarefulWhatYouWishForParker."

The Spider-Man star also posted the trailer headline on his main profile with a shorter caption, "It only gets crazier."

SPIDER-MAN, THE NEW RECORD HOLDER

With just the first trailer alone, everyone can see that Holland is on the money. On top of Goby and Doc Ock, there are additional teases of Electro, Sandman, and even The Lizard. Peter Parker is seriously going to have his hands full.

Of course, the film's first trailer didn't hint at another element of the movie that has been the subject of many rumors: the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective Peter Parkers. Holland's not lying - this film is going to be nuts.

It's crazy to think that the multiverse was only just truly introduced to fans a few months ago, and the MCU is already approaching a film that utilizes the concept in ways that are larger than life. If this is what Spider-Man: No Way Home is, then there's no telling what Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has in store for fans.

The world will be able to see Tom Holland's next adventure on December 17, and Doctor Strange's next solo outing drops on March 25, 2022. It's a good time to be alive for Marvel fans.
